You’re going where? To do what?
Right, now contracts are signed and the flights are booked I can tell the Internet what’s going on.
I’m just about to start a new job with Tullett Prebon in Singapore. This all happened via a London work colleague from ten years ago while I was still in the States. I fly out Monday, March first, stop in Singapore to meet the crew for a day, then go on to London where I’ll be working with one of their technology partners to build a derivatives trading platform. I’ll be in London for a couple of months, after which I move to Singapore indefinitely and lead a small team maintaining and extending said platform.
It’s a huge opportunity and a big adventure! If you’re in London email me your phone number and I’ll get in contact when I surface in a week or so; if you’re in Singapore (or know someone who is) I’m keen to make contact and hear about the ground truth. I’ve been once before, briefly, as a tourist, but I suspect (as everywhere) that living there is an entirely different experience.
